At Digital Alchemy, we asked a simple question.
What if one solution could help address both?
That question inspired Karma Cycle, a project exploring how discarded plastic can be transformed into building materials for affordable homes.
Working alongside researchers from Mae Fah Luang University and local communities in Chiang Rai, we have successfully developed our first recycled plastic brick prototype. But the project is about much more than bricks.
It is about bringing people together to create practical solutions for real-world challenges.
Our vision goes beyond Thailand. If Karma Cycle succeeds, we hope to make what we learn open source,sharing our research, designs, and lessons so communities anywhere in the world can adapt the idea to reduce plastic waste and create affordable housing.
