Change rarely begins with a perfect plan. Sometimes, it begins with taking a closer look at where we are today.
Becoming a B Corp encouraged us to do exactly that.
As part of our ongoing journey, we wanted to better understand the environmental impact of our work, particularly our carbon footprint. Not because we have all the answers, but because we believe we need to understand our impact before we can meaningfully reduce it.
So we started with our people.
We invited our team to take part in a carbon footprint survey, looking at the everyday activities that contribute to our emissions, from energy use and travel to consumption and waste.
The survey gave us data. But more importantly, it brought people into the process.
It gave us a chance to talk about what the numbers mean, share different experiences and start thinking about what we could do differently.
Those insights are now helping us build our Decarbonisation Plan.
For us, this is an important distinction. We did not want decarbonisation to be something that simply sits in a document or belongs to one person or one team.
We want it to reflect how we actually work, and the people who make our company what it is.
We believe progress starts when people are willing to look honestly at where they are, learn from each other and take the next step together.
Our carbon footprint survey was one step.
Our Decarbonisation Plan is the next.
And this is only the beginning.
We are always open to learning from people who are on a similar journey. If you have an experience, idea or perspective to share, we would love to hear from you.
